Lama Tsering Gyaltsen

Lama Tsering Gyaltsen is a disciple of Dudjom Rinpoche who came to the United States at the invitation of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche. Born in Western Tibet in 1945, Lama Tsering Gyaltsen Rinpoche went into exile to India with his family at the age of 16, where they lived in a settlement for refugees. He attended the Varanasi Tibetan Institute of High Studies within Sanskrit University and, in 1982, he received an Acharya degree.

In Dharamasala he worked for six years as the representative of the Nyingmapa School before returning to Orissa, where he completed a three-year retreat under the guidance of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche and Ripa Rigdzin Chogyal Rinpoche.  He is a founder of Tsogyal Gephel Jong retreat centre and senior living facility in Pharping, Nepal, and one of the founding teachers (along with Lamas Tharchin Rinpoche and Sonam Tsering) of the Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute in Eugene, Oregon USA.
